David founded Nova in 2002 and has been involved in private equity for over 30 years, and also has significant general management experience. A qualified lawyer, he spent almost 20 years at Granville building up its mid-market private equity activities prior to becoming CEO of the group in 1995.

Chief Financial Officer

Neelam has over 23 years of finance and administration experience within private equity firms, and is a qualified accountant and Fellow with the ACCA.   She has been at Nova since 2008,  joining as a Senior Fund Controller, focusing on fund management and administration with other areas of finance, regulatory compliance, and new fund formation. She took over responsibility for all the management company reporting in 2016 and has been Chief Financial Officer for the entire Nova Group since 2019.

Barnaby has over 12 years’ experience in senior financial and general management.  A qualified accountant, and with an MBA, Barnaby worked in M&A at KPMG and has built up relevant industry experience in corporate finance, as a finance director and in private equity.

Ralph has over 30 years senior financial and general management experience with General Electric, Honeywell and developing early stage electronics technology companies, and subsequently has worked in Private Equity for the last 20 years. 

Ralph joined Nova in 2005 as an Investment Partner responsible for the CIPI portfolio which was fully realised in 2013.  He now acts as a consultant to the firm supporting our investment in Sterling Thermal Technology.

Guilherme advised on the formation of Nova in 2002. As a corporate and commercial lawyer with nearly 45 years qualified experience in corporate, M&A, Private Equity and commercial law Guilherme has acted on a number of the firm’s acquisitions and investments and has been closely associated with Nova since inception.
