Jan Kreminski


Jan has over 30 years of general management experience.  He spent over 20 years in international executive roles with ABB and Alstom, in businesses serving the global power generation, rail transport, pulp and paper, building products, oil & gas, metallurgical and industrial markets.  Since 2005 he has served as the Executive Chairman and CEO of several Nova portfolio companies.

Jan has been an Operating Partner since 2011 responsible for businesses in the Shell, Argent and Wildcat portfolios and opened Nova’s Chicago office in 2012.

Jane Kingdom

Global Administration Manager

Jane has over 15 years executive assistant experience working in the legal, finance, shipping and media industries and she also established and ran an internet magazine.

Jane joined Nova in 2003 as an Executive Assistant to the Managing Partners and Chairman.  Jane currently provides full administrative support on office management, including project management,  IT, marketing, HR as well as executive assistant support to the wider team.

David Williamson

Founder, Chairman & Managing Partner

David has been involved in private equity for over 30 years, and also has significant general management experience.  A qualified lawyer, he spent almost 20 years at Granville building up its mid-market private equity activities prior to becoming CEO of the group in 1995.

David founded Nova in 2002, continues to lead the firm as its Managing Partner and is a member of Nova’s Investment Committee.

Neelam Amin

Chief Financial Officer

Neelam has over 13 years of finance and administration experience within private equity firms, and is an ACCA qualified accountant.  Prior to joining Nova, she spent 8 years at Elderstreet Investments, as financial controller, progressing to acting CFO. Before this Neelam was an audit senior at Macalvins, formerly Macilvin Moore, a London based accountancy practice.

Neelam joined Nova in 2008 as Senior Fund Controller, focusing on fund management and administration with other areas of finance, regulatory compliance, and new fund formation.   She took over responsibility for all the management company reporting in 2016 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2019.

Ron Foy

Operating Partner

Ron has over 30 years of relevant industry experience with the last 15 in CEO and Operating President roles. Ron has an MBA from Hamilton College and has had a diverse marketing and operations career with the likes of Black & Decker, Masco Corporations as well as Atrium Windows and Doors where he ran multiple divisions. Ron’s most recent assignment prior to joining Nova was CEO of Truth Hardware.  

Ron joined Nova in 2013 and is the Operating Partner on the Wildcat portfolio.

Pavlos Stellakis

Managing Partner, Nova Pelorus

Pavlos has 39 years experience in finance and Private Equity. Pavlos was the chairman and CEO of NBGI Private Equity which he founded in 1999 and chaired the firm’s investment committees, with AAM of around €900m. Prior to NBGI PE, Pavlos was a member of the board of directors of Hill Samuel where he headed European Investment Banking. Since 2016, through Pelorus Capital, Pavlos has been focusing on GP solutions and private equity secondaries opportunities. Pavlos joined Nova in 2019 with Omiros Millas to form Nova Pelorus and to lead Nova’s activities in Europe.

Omiros Millas

Managing Partner, Nova Pelorus

Omiros has 21 years experience in Private Equity and Investment Banking. Between 2004 and 2009 he headed NBGI’s Corporate Finance. He joined NBGI Private Equity in 2009 as Investment Director and later as Head of Portfolio. Omiros co-founded Pelorus through which he has focused on GP solutions as well as on the real estate sector and the Greek buy-side market. Omiros joined Nova in 2019 with Pavlos Stellakis to form Nova Pelorus and lead Nova’s activities in Europe.

Ralph Forster


Ralph has over 30 years senior financial and general management experience with General Electric, Honeywell and developing early stage electronics technology companies, and subsequently has worked in Private Equity for the last 20 years. 


Ralph joined Nova in 2005 as an Investment Partner responsible for the CIPI portfolio which was fully realised in 2013.  He now acts as a consultant to the firm supporting our investment in Sterling Thermal Technology.

Matt Miazga


Matt has 16 years of experience in business investment, operating and advisory roles across a broad range of industries including building products, manufacturing, distribution, business services and financial institutions.  In each role, he has transitioned organizations through significant ownership and operational changes to release value.

Matt has worked with Nova since 2015, including serving as a VP, Sales at Shur-Line, a portfolio company of Nova’s.

Prior to Nova, Matt acted as a restructuring advisor having previously been a Senior Associate with Goense Bounds & Partners, an operationally-focused private equity firm.  He has also held positions in investment banking at Goldman Sachs & Co and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.

Simon Bliss

Non-Executive Director

Simon is a Non-Executive Director of Nova.  He has over 18 years of senior finance and administration experience within private equity firms, and is a CIMA qualified accountant. Before joining Nova he spent five years at Botts & Company, a mid-market private equity firm, initially as financial controller, and latterly as CFO. Prior to that Simon was financial controller at UBS Capital, formerly Phildrew Ventures.

Prior to moving to a Non-Executive role at Nova in November 2017, Simon was CFO from 2005, with key responsibilities covering general financial management, fund administration, regulatory compliance, HR and IT, and continues to oversee these functions He also took a major role in the structuring and formation of new fund opportunities and was a member of Nova’s Investment Committee.

Guilherme Brafman

Legal Adviser

Cambridge educated, corporate and commercial lawyer with over 40 years qualified experience in corporate, M&A, Private Equity and commercial law, including copyright, media, employment and financial services. Served over 11 years as a senior partner at CMS Cameron McKenna and then 9 years as London Managing Partner at a leading New York finance, Private Equity and litigation firm Kaye Scholer (now merged with Arnold & Porter). Guilherme advised on the formation of Nova in 2002, as well as acting on a number of the firm’s acquisitions and investments and has been closely associated with Nova since inception. On retirement from private practice, Guilherme joined the company to continue his close involvement with its investment and business activities.
